Event Planning

You will be planning and pulling off an event at the end of the semester with the Best of TED.  You will be paid for the following;

1. Use the full time of 90 minutes.

2. Use the music video in the event somehow (provided by the group speaking).

3. Plan good Introductions and transitions so there is no or little downtime. (Suggestions for what to do during downtime: play the student’s standalone presentation, play music, involve the audience in something, etc.)

5. Take photographs to document the event. (They can be uploaded here when you get them done)

6. Begin with a prayer.

Think of this like a big long presentation with shared parts.  It should include a good introduction, transitions, and conclusions.

Suggestions:

1. Plan a thoughtful event to highlight those who are speaking (consider decorations, treats, games, unique event theme, etc.)

2. Get the group’s music video and PowerPoints ahead of time.

3. Get to know the event room’s equipment before the event begins.

4. BE CREATIVE!!

5. You can call 208-496-3150 to discuss your event and request other things from the scheduling office. They are also found on the third floor of the Manwaring Center.  Don’t hesitate to call to work through the location and things that can be offered.
