TED Talk Stand Alone

Being good at professional presentations means more than just being able to speak smoothly and easily; a big part of presenting something is the mood you set, the overall feeling that comes with it, and how well your message is represented throughout your entire presentation.

Part of being able to present professionally is your use of media. To complete this project, you will need to create an entire slideshow or picture show. You may use written words. You may use music. You may use video.  You may use voice recordings.  The entire presentation must make sense. We need to know what you are trying to communicate.  Remember to structure your content.

Requirements:

Must contain

  1. At least on picture or video of yourself (it is your TED Talk Teaser)
  2. It must contain text which includes your name, day of speech, and location (Including Zoom Room)

You have a solid idea for your TED talk then everything you do should be building up to your TED talk.  This is your commercial for your TED.  Treat this as a teaser for what you want to do, it doesn’t need to be your full TED talk.  This will get people excited to hear your speech and give them a quick taste of what it is going to be.

This will be graded the same but I hope you chose to do a teaser for your TED.  It needs to be thought-provoking and serve a clear purpose.

TIME: 1:30 – 2:00  It is important that you meet these requirements and fit your message in its entirety into your presentation.

You can create your stand alone with any program that you wish, however, the final product needs to be placed on YouTube.   Make sure the video works well and looks good on the big screen! Test it before you submit it. You will be graded on the quality of your images and the clarity of your sound and message.

Turn In: Your video needs to be uploaded onto your personal YouTube page. Submit the link to the assignment submission page on Canvas.
